Conferences & Didactic Teaching
The department firmly believes that teaching takes many forms, including structured didactics and simulation, and many informal teaching opportunities during our daily clinical work on Labor and Delivery, in clinic, and in the OR.
Wednesday afternoons are protected time for residents to attend didactics and department meetings.
Monthly education schedule:
1st Wednesday: Simulation lab
2nd Wednesday: Grand Rounds, Obstetrics M&M, didactics
3rd Wednesday: Gyn pre-op conference, Urogyn/Gyn Oncology M&M, didactics

- Obstetricians as Teachers (OATs) sessions to equip residents to be confident medical educators.
- Focused research preparation with a PhD Epidemiologist from our department.
- Obstetric and gynecologic quality improvement opportunities.
