The UC San Diego Rebecca and John Moores Cancer Center is the only cancer facility in San Diego designated as a National Cancer Institute Comprehensive Cancer Center. In fact, only 71 centers, in 36 states have earned this distinction. The faculty in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology provide care for women with cancer of the reproductive tract and conduct research in order to improve early detection, investigate novel therapeutics and initiate treatment for gynecologic cancers.
As San Diego's only medical institution affiliated with NRG Oncology (formerly the Gynecologic Oncology Group), we offer patients an opportunity to participate in National Institute of Health-supported clinical trials which explore novel therapies not available elsewhere in San Diego. Our patients also have access to innovative industry-sponsored trials.

Our team, which includes gynecologic oncologists, radiation oncologists, and cancer researchers, meets regularly to review all cases, explore treatment options and to develop coordinated management plans. Appointments are available through referral by your primary care physician or gynecologist. Additionally, our team can see patients at our Encinitas office as well as our office in Temecula.
