Our Mission

Clinical Care

The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences provides comprehensive, patient-centered care across every stage of life. Our multidisciplinary teams deliver advanced care in obstetrics, gynecology, reproductive medicine and women’s health, combining clinical expertise with the latest research and innovation.

Our specialists provide care across a wide range of services, including:

  • Maternal-fetal medicine and high-risk pregnancy care
  • General obstetrics and gynecology
  • Gynecologic oncology
  • Reproductive endocrinology and infertility
  • Minimally invasive gynecologic surgery
  • Female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery
  • Complex family planning
  • Menopause and midlife women’s health

Research & Discovery

The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences is nationally recognized for advancing research that improves the health of women and families. Our faculty lead innovative basic, translational and clinical research programs focused on some of the most pressing challenges in reproductive and women’s health.

Education & Training

As an academic department within UC San Diego School of Medicine, we are committed to training the next generation of physicians, scientists and healthcare leaders.

Our educational programs emphasize clinical excellence, mentorship, innovation and evidence-based care in a collaborative learning environment. Trainees work alongside nationally recognized faculty and gain experience across diverse clinical and research settings.
