• Building a multiscale 3D molecular and cellular model of the human placenta through gestation; 
• Biomarker discovery for prediction and diagnosis of pregnancy complications; 
• Identification and validation of key regulators of human placental development; 
• Genomic and epigenomic characterization of different substates of pluripotency; 
• Promoting equity in diagnosis and care of respiratory infections in underserved populations.
