    Caroline Connor, MSN, is a board-certified women's health nurse practitioner (WHNP-BC). She provides routine prenatal care, comprehensive gynecological care and family planning services for women of all ages.

    In addition to providing clinical care, Ms. Connor's research interests include early pregnancy diagnosis and management, noninvasive prenatal testing, and infertility diagnosis and management.

    Prior to joining UC San Diego Health, Ms. Connor worked as women's health nurse practitioner at the Infertility, Gynecology, and Obstetrical Group of La Jolla. She was also at the San Diego Fertility Center, assisting individuals and couples with infertility management, including egg donation, IVF, and surrogacy.

    Ms. Connor earned her master's degree in nursing from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing in Nashville and her bachelor's degree in anthropology from UC San Diego. Prior to earning her degree in nursing, she earned an emergency medical technician certification from Colorado Mountain College in Summit County, Colo.

    She is a member of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women's Health, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She also serves on the Advanced Practice Council for UC San Diego Health.

    Outside of work, Ms. Connor enjoys outdoor activities, including camping, hiking, kayaking, and skiing. She also likes to travel and spend time with her extended family.

    About: Christina Buenrostro, MSN, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner (FNP-BC) who specializes in obstetrics and gynecology.  She provides inpatient postpartum care at Jacobs Medical Center. Upon joining UC San Diego Health, Christina, was part of the Women’s Health clinic’s providing routine prenatal care, gynecological services, and family planning services. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing at Walden University School of Nursing in Minneapolis. She holds a BS in Nursing from University of Oklahoma and a BS in Health Sciences from San Diego State University. Ms. Buenrostro was born and raised in San Diego. Outside of work, she enjoys spin, playing in adult softball leagues, trying new restaurants, and spending time with family, friends, and dog, Milo.

    About: Nathalie Choi is a Certified Nurse-Midwife and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (CNM/WHNP-BC). Her extensive preparation and clinical skills training from Georgetown University conferred a MS in nursing.  She integrates her knowledge and works jointly with the clinical care team at the University of California San Diego.

    All women deserve high-quality, evidence-based and client centered care. She aims to empower, educate, and care for women at every aspect of their life. Her problem solving skills gained during her time as a labor and delivery nurse and as a Navy Nurse Corps Officer should facilitate the transition to her new role in Women’s Health and as a Midwife. She is certified in CPR, neonatal resuscitation, and is nationally certified as a RNC-OB and C-EFM.

    During her time away from work, she spends time with her family and enjoys the great outdoors.

    About: Andrea Corry is a certified nurse midwife who provides both routine prenatal care and reproductive health services in the outpatient setting. Common conditions she treats are vaginal infections, irregular bleeding, STIs, and breast issues. She has a special interest in birth control counseling and long-acting reversible contraceptives. Another aspect of her work she enjoys is building a relationship with patients on their path to parenthood and empowering them to have a healthy, happy pregnancy.

    She values patient education and shared decision making and has an inclusive, holistic approach to care. She became a midwife to be able to provide care to patients throughout their lifespan – from puberty to pregnancy to menopause and is proud to be a part of an interdisciplinary team that supports each other.

    Prior to starting at UC San Diego, she worked at Family Health Centers of San Diego and North County Health Services. She worked as a per diem provider at Planned Parenthood and completed a fellowship at Holy Family Birth Center.

    Ms. Corry graduated with honors from Vanderbilt University and earned her masters in midwifery in 2005. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from UC San Diego. She has worked in both hospital-based and birth center practices and was once a volunteer doula with UC San Diego’s Hearts and Hands program.

    Andrea was born and raised in San Diego. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two kids and her dog. She likes baking, hiking and reading. She is fluent in Spanish.

    About: Ellie Deutsch is a board-certified women’s health (WHNP-BC) and adult health nurse practitioner (ANP-C). Ms. Deutsch provides routine prenatal care, comprehensive gynecological care, and family planning services to women of all ages. In addition to route gynecologic care, Ellie has received training in colposcopy and provides these services to women with history of cervical dysplasia. She has a special interest in caring for teens and adolescents.

    Ms. Deutsch is a native San Diegan and received her undergraduate degree in Sociology at UCSD. She completed her master’s in science of nursing at Columbia University. Prior to joining UCSD, she spent eight years as a clinician at Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest, providing community-based reproductive healthcare. She then worked as a clinician at Naval Medical Center of San Diego where she managed the high-risk breast clinic. She worked alongside surgical oncologist and radiologist to provide comprehensive breast health care to women of all ages She coordinated care and provided genetic counseling for individuals with an elevated risk of breast cancer, such as BRCA mutation carriers.

    Outside of work, Ms. Deutsch enjoys spending time with her husband and young son exploring new outdoor adventures and restaurants.

    About: Suzanne Riego, MSN, began working as a women's health nurse practitioner in 2008. After earning a bachelor’s degree from Wellesley College and a master’s degree from University of San Diego, Suzanne worked in a private practice Ob/Gyn clinic for 11 years before joining UCSD Health. She provides prenatal, postpartum, and gynecologic care. When not in the clinic, Suzanne enjoys yoga, spending time outdoors with her family, and cheering on her son’s ice hockey team.

    About: Alicia Skemp, MSPAS, PA-C, is a senior physician assistant. She provides routine prenatal care, comprehensive gynecological care and family planning services for women of all ages. She has a special interest in family planning and contraceptive counseling.

    Prior to joining UCSD, she worked at Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest, providing reproductive health care.

    She earned a Master of Science in physician assistant studies from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Science in zoology from the University of Wisconsin. She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

    In her free time, Alicia enjoys traveling, live music, the outdoors, and spending time with friends and family.
